The SBSH Scoop | Hey, would you like to go on a date?

We know your time is your most valuable asset, and honestly, we’re just impressed you’re keeping most of the plates spinning. There is zero judgment here—whether your books are a masterpiece or a "work in progress," we’re just here to help you level up at your own pace.

Think of our SMART Sessions as a first date. We aren’t asking for a long-term commitment; we just want to introduce you to some experts you might actually fall in love with. (And yes, I really should have used that analogy last week for Valentine’s Day! 😉)

People are finding real, "lightbulb-moment" value in these sessions. You could have that too! If you don't see a topic that hits home, tell us. We’ll find the right pro for you.

The Final Winter 2026 SMART Sessions

  • Business Planning for Busy People (Mar 17)
  • Performance Reviews Made Easy (Mar 24)

Tuesdays from 9-10 am. Quick and easy time to work on your business.

No pressure, just like a coffee date except you have to bring your own coffee. :)

Business Spotlight | Spinning up Success - Bayside Coin Laundry

What this SBSH grant funding truly represents is an opportunity for a more sustainable business.

Bayside Coin Laundry is proving that a little grit and some soap will go a long way. Since taking the reins a few years ago, the new owners have been "spinning" their business into a vital cornerstone of the community.

As a savvy recipient of the SBSH direct grant in the second round, Bayside made the smart move to purchase high-quality, pre-owned stackable dryers. This strategic choice significantly expanded their capacity, ensuring that nobody is left waiting for a "dry" spell (a multi faceted pun; gotta love it)—even during the busy summer months when tourists and travelers flock to the area.

But these owners aren’t just focused on the machines and operating the business; they’re dedicated to building a sustainable legacy. They have been regular fixtures in our expert sessions, soaking up knowledge in marketing, finance, and HR like a premium detergent. Their take? The programming is accessible and a game-changer for long-term business health.

A community MVP is their drop-off service. They’ll wash, dry, and actually fold your laundry for you. In a world of endless to-do lists, that’s a luxury that makes life feel much cleaner! Whether you’re a local regular or just passing through, Bayside is a shining example of a small business doing big things.

A Few Seats Left | Would You Like to Sit Together (it's on us)

For those interested in attending, the 137th (yes, 137th!!) Sault Area Chamber dinner is coming up on March 10, 5:30-7 pm. We have seven seats at our table and dinner is on us... if you are one of the first 7 to reply. We'd love for those attending to meet one another and enjoy some networking on our dime.

There's also a silent auction, if you like that kinda stuff. We'll be checking out the auction items too!
