Wondering if another SBSH hub is right for you?
There are 27 SBSH support hubs across Michigan, and each one is a little different and mostly regional. But if your business has 10–99 employees and brings in $1M–$50M in revenue, you might qualify for programs at SBAM (Small Business Association of Michigan), which is one of the few hubs that offers support statewide.
No competition here—we’re all in this to support you. Check out your options and get the help that fits best!

Business Spotlight | Green Timber
What this SBSH grant funding truly represents is opportunity—an opportunity to turn a dream into a thriving reality, just like for Jerry!
Tucked away in Newberry is a true gem of the U.P.'s business landscape—Grossman Forestry Company, founded in 1990 and now proudly part of Green Timber Consulting Foresters.
When Jerry and his team applied for a Small Business Support Hub direct grant in 2024, they knew exactly what would help them grow: better infrastructure. With their grant, they upgraded to more reliable internet access (at their cost) and then used the grant to add a survey-grade antenna—specialized tools that may not be used every day, but make a big impact on operations month to month.
Today, the merged team at Green Timber brings over 80 years of combined experience in sustainable forest management. They’re always on the lookout for the right people to join their mission, so if you’re passionate about forestry and looking for a meaningful career, this could be your crew.
Hats off to Jerry, now Director of Operations in Newberry, and the entire Green Timber team for their dedication to our forests and our economy. We're lucky to have them in the Upper Peninsula business family.
