The SBSH Scoop | Expert Help You Need—On Us!
Let’s keep this simple: you can’t run a strong business without expert help. No one is an expert in everything — marketing, finance, HR, hiring, team dynamics, product development, and still delivering the products and services your customers love.
That’s where the Small Business Support Hub comes in. We’ll help you connect with the right experts and we’ll help pay for it. (Yes, even in areas we don’t list here.) There are limits, of course, but think of it as an investment in your business strength — without draining your own cash.
And we’re making it even easier with SMART Workshops — hands-on, get-it-done sessions where you walk out with real tools and systems ready to use in your business.
Coming up in October:
An Employee Handbook Without the Headache
Led by HR expert Robin Chapekis of SvelteHR, this 3-hour workshop will help you create a compliant, practical employee handbook you can actually use (and keep updated). Already have a handbook? Bring it along and Robin will help you upgrade it on the spot.
October 29, 2025 | 8:30 AM – Noon
It’s free, it’s practical, and you’ll walk away with one more piece of your business locked down.
Business Spotlight | Enchanted Crafts
What this SBSH grant funding truly represents is an opportunity for a more sustainable business.
We're thrilled to share the success story of Enchanted Crafts and the talented Kayla, who used her SBSH direct grant in 2024 to take her business to new heights. Thanks to her grant award, she added a 3D and sublimation printer, an embroidery machine, and a modern point-of-sale system—giving her the tools to meet customer demand consistently and efficiently.
The results? Enchanted Crafts increased its revenue by over 75% this past year! Kayla calls this growth “fantastic,” and it’s easy to see why. She’s even setting her sights on attending multiple Comicon events in the coming year to tap into a larger market.
Beyond the numbers, Kayla is nurturing creativity in newcomers too (her kids!)—by providing platforms for crafting fidgets and Dungeons & Dragons figures. Young ones observing their parents in business helps them to see additional choices as they mature; making their own job is as viable an option for some as getting a job with another business. That’s how entrepreneurship spreads!
